Play’n GO Survey Shows 55% of Slot Players in Sweden Want ‘Bonus Buy’ Banned
Majority of slots released today come with the feature buy option, which has become incredibly popular. But it turns out many people in Sweden, including slot players, don’t want this feature. They think that this option makes players lose more and hurts vulnerable gamblers.
Play’n GO revealed the results of the survey they conducted in Sweden. And it shows that 69% of the general public want to see the bonus buy slots banned. What’s more striking is that 55% of slot players support the idea of prohibiting the bonus buy games.
This type of survey and the publication of results that are unfavorable for slot providers is somewhat surprising. But Play’n GO made a decision in 2021 to never make a bonus buy game. According to the company CEO Johan Törnqvist, this decision has cost them hundreds of millions of Swedish Krona, and they still believe that was the right thing to do to protect players.
