On November 3, MetaWin Casino CEO shared bad news. Their casino was attacked by a hacker who stole a significant amount of money. A renowned crypto investigator, ZachXBT, estimated that the amount lost is over $4 million.
The hacker withdrew money from the casino’s Ethereum and Solana hot wallets by exploiting the operator’s ‘frictionless withdrawal system’. After the incident, withdrawals were paused for a short period of time.
MetaWin CEO also mentioned that new players will now have to pass additional security checks. At the same time, the casino will explore ways to keep the process flexible and seamless for their trusted members.
