The game doesn’t look like a typical super hit, but the figures show that it’s played a lot. It finished 14th in our 2023 Most Played Slots rating with some of the major releases far behind it. In 2022 Bonanza Billion was 16th which is incredible considering that the slot market is heavily saturated.  

Features 

Game volatility is high but wins are quite frequent and often you’ll have more than one win per spin. Cascading reels are responsible for many payouts as they get triggered after any win. No growing multipliers come along with cascades, but it’s a fun feature anyway. And you get multipliers during free spins.  

In Bonanza Billion you don’t need similar symbols to land on a few dedicated lines or on adjacent reels. They can be anywhere, and the only thing that matters is the number of similar symbols. That’s great news, because sometimes you get frustrated when symbols don’t line up as required.  

But where games usually require at least three symbols to land a win, here you’ll need 8 or more of them. That’s fair, considering there should be something to balance out the benefits of scatter pays mechanic. With a 6×5 reel set, there isn’t much room for 8 symbol combinations, but the fact that you don’t need them in any particular order helps a lot.  

Free Spins 

Scatters are the only symbols that pay when four of them appear in a spin. And like in many slots, Bonanza Billion unlocks the bonus game when a bunch of scatters show up. If you land 4 scatters, you get 10 spins. Five and six of these symbols release 20 and 30 free rounds respectively. Three scatters during the feature add 5 more spins to the pack.  

It’s common to add a special treat for players when they enter the bonus game. In this online slot, players get a multiplier symbol during the free spins, and it can be anywhere between x2 and x100. This multiplier is applied to a total win of a corresponding spin, and it appears quite frequently.

Conclusion 

Bonanza Billion is a pretty simple slot and that’s probably one of the reasons it appeals to a lot of players. The Scatter Pays mechanic is at the heart of the slot’s gameplay. Throw cascades into the mix and you already have an entertaining video slot. But there are even more things to like such as free spins with up to x100 multipliers and bonus buy options.
