Levels
Every round begins at level 1. To upgrade, players need winning clusters. They destroy blockers that protect the monster. Once all blockers get destroyed, players reach the next level where everything is the same, but there are more and more rows of blockers.
The fourth level is the final one. And that’s where you want to be. Because it offers an unlimited number of drops. The row of blockers gets lower with every drop. And if they aren’t being destroyed, the round won’t last for long. Because as soon as at least one blocker touches the bottom of the grid, you return to level 1.
Boosters
There are a number of boosters that can be triggered when you play Orbitfall. You’ll notice that some blockers have special icons hidden inside. Once you destroy those blockers, you activate extra drops, multipliers and level upgrades.
Regular paying symbols can also hold some extra power to help you. If winning symbols have a special glowing orb, they charge the Laser that shoots to destroy one column. An alien will randomly use its laser to destroy up to 6 columns. And you’ll also have 1×1 and 2×2 Wilds and up to 3×3 Mega Symbols.
Orbitfall Bonus
When you have a Rocket that can reach a monster, you get a bonus round. It’s no different than a base game. You advance through levels for an ultimate experience during the final level. There will be 5 free drops, which can get you some highlight moments. But the round can’t be retriggered.
Bonus Buy
This is an ELK Studios title, which usually means a few X-iter choices. This time players can pay to boost their chances of entering free drops, buy level 2 or level 4, regular bonus and a special bonus that gives a bunch of boosters right away.
