Payout Mechanic
xLoot is the key element of Tanked. This is what Nolimit City called its new payout mechanic. There are four characters of different colors. When they land next to regular symbols of their own color, they collect them. That’s how players get payouts. It can be just a couple of symbols they collect or a whole bunch of them connected vertically or horizontally.
In addition to regular symbols of their own color, the characters can pick up Wilds and multipliers of up to x1,000 that come in munition boxes. If more than one multiplier is collected in one go, their amount is added together.
Boosters
When four boosters are collected, they help land more and bigger payouts by destroying symbols and leaving those that are useful. Some boosters will also make a grid larger.
- Rocket. Whoever picks up this symbol, will shoot it to destroy the rest of the characters and clear symbols in the specific zone. It also triggers the grid expansion.
- Grenade. Removes one random enemy and regular symbols in the specific zone.
- Power Drill. Used to power through any obstacles to collect the most valuable cluster. If there’s no way to move even using the drill, a character will explode.
- Airstrike. This symbol will destroy 3 enemies and clear the area in a certain pattern.
xBomb and Barrel Bomb
These are two symbols that will go off when there are no payouts and boosters. They remove a bunch of regular symbols. In addition, xBomb adds +1 to the multiplier, and the Barrel Bomb expands the grid.
Booms
When 3 characters are stuck next to each other, they trigger an explosion that removes a bunch of regular symbols. If all four of them are stuck together, all paying symbols explode plus, the grid expands.
Kill Count
The reason you would want characters removed is because their corresponding symbols disappear with them. As a result, more wins are likely to land. But one explosion isn’t enough to kill a character. Each one of them has three lives and it must be blasted three times.
xMechanics
Tanked has plenty of xMechanics, including xNudge and xSplit. If you are a fan of Nolimit City slots, you should already know what they do.
- xNudge symbol moves down until it bumps into a non-paying symbol or the bottom of the grid. The symbol awards x2 multiplier, and the figure increases +1 with every nudge.
- xSplit divides a symbol into two and then becomes a Wild. And if a multiplier is affected, its value doubles.

When Tanked players get 3 scatters, they activate 5 free spins, but all the achievements from the base game are carried over. When 4 scatters are collected, players get 7 free spins and this time the grid is expanded to its maximum 9×9 size, and +5 is added to the base game multiplier.
