One thing that you would want to do is buy the bonus game when you demo this slot. Because that bonus round is something you’ve probably never seen before. The developer was able to turn a regular Hold & Win type of feature into a unique experience by simply adding a couple of exciting twists to it.  

Just like any company, content creators have their ups and downs. After becoming a prominent figure in the slot creation business, Thunderkick kind of fell under the radar for some time. By releasing Bones & Bounty, the company made a big statement and stepped back into the spotlight.  

Features 

There isn’t really anything special going on in the base mode. But it’s nice that the studio added a bit of spice to it using a couple of features. Wild symbols can be up to 4-row high. And those that occupy at least 2 positions, remain on the screen and trigger a respin. More of them during the feature award +1 respin.  

Hold & Win Bonus 

Triggering this round is the players’ ultimate goal. Just like a regular Hold & Win bonus game, it starts with 3 spins and this number resets every time any symbol lands in view. But right after a couple of first spins, you realize that this isn’t a regular bonus round, and there are two things that make it stand out: 

• The Shift Feature. This is the main game changer. After any coin lands on the reels, the entire grid shifts one step to the right and once symbols reach the very end of the main layout, they get thrown back to the main grid. This is a sort of the reshuffling feature.  
• The Ghost Reel. It’s the rightmost reel, and all symbols get pushed towards it. Once they reach the reel, they are multiplied by the special multiplier and returned back to the grid. That multiplier grows when special Monkey symbols appear on the screen.  
• Persistent Payer. You would really want a Treasure Chest collected by the Ghost Reel, because it increases all current wins by its value. And the earlier in the round it gets there the better because it’ll have more chances of being pushed back to the Ghost Reel and multiplied again.  

How to Activate the Bonus 

If you just enjoy that special atmosphere Bones & Bounty offers and don’t mind some waiting, triggering the feature naturally shouldn’t be an issue. In this case, you’ll need to collect three scatters. They don’t have to land all at once, and this is where repins come in handy.  

Great thing about respins is that any bonus symbol is collected. You can have some bonus symbols landing during the initial respin, and the remaining ones can land in the extra one.  

There’s an alternative option, which is to buy the feature by paying 100x bet. This takes you straight to the Hold & Win round.
