Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Authority, has recently fined an unnamed Twitch streamer DKK 10,000, which is around EUR 1,341, for advertising a gambling site that had no Danish license. The streamer accepted the fine.
The fact that the streamer was promoting gaming operators without a Danish license was discovered earlier this year. Spillemyndigheden reported the case to the police and recommended a DKK 10,000 fine.
The regulator decided not to reveal the streamer’s name to the public. This was the first time they reported a streamer who advertised illegal gambling.
