As usual, the developer offers sleek artwork and super engaging gameplay with some unique features. And part of the fun is that the story has never been used before in the slot world. Players have seen it all: yeti, goblin, minotaur, werewolf, dragon, kraken and all sorts of folklore creatures. That’s why studios have to dig deep to uncover something fresh. Print Studios found inspiration from French mythology, and what a story and colorful characters did they find.  

Tarasque is the odd dragon-like monster that swallowed people and terrorized a small French village. But he was tamed by St.Martha who sprinkled holy water on him. She plays an important role as the highest paying symbol, but this story is all about Tarasque.   

Features 

There are no bonus rounds in this game, and what makes the gameplay so thrilling is a bunch of boosters that can turn any spin into a bonus-like sequence. Central to the slot is the new feature called Morphing Clusters.  

Every round a random symbol is selected and highlighted in blue, and if you have a winning cluster consisting of these symbols, the feature gets triggered, and you have an entire cluster transform into one nearby symbol to form a bigger cluster.

Progressive Features

Unleash Stage 

The progress bar has five sections, but there are only four progressive boosters. That’s because during the last stage Tarasque returns all symbols it swallowed earlier. He can only swallow symbols that he is a part of, and because this monster is a wild symbol, it’s easier to land winning clusters that include him.  

While boosters get triggered one after another, the monster keeps swallowing symbols and keeps them for the later stage. And when the time comes, it unleashes them, which can be incredibly exciting as you can have an entire reel covered with similar symbols.  

Feature Bet 

The thing that can give you an incredible win boost is a bunch of Morphing symbols. And the more the better. That’s why the studio made it possible to buy up to 45 of them in a single spin. That means at least over 2/3 of the grid will be covered by similar symbols to guarantee a win and then even bigger win clusters.  

The cost of the max pack is quite significant, but there are four cheaper options. For instance, you can get 6 of these symbols for 3.5x bet. But this doesn’t guarantee a win. You can also get 12, 23 and 34 Morphing symbols.  

Conclusion 

Tarasque shows players that there are many more exciting stories to tell and many more crazy features to create. It’s an amazing grid slot with no bonus rounds but a thrilling set of progressive features and a couple of other fantastic elements that take a gambling experience to another level.
