In August this year, ELK Studios teased Pirots fans with an announcement that the end of the Pirots 4 countdown would reveal something epic. Now we know what the surprise is because as the countdown hit zero, the slot unlocked a new world called Frozen Fury.
Players can now choose either Lost In Space, which is what they originally had, or Frozen Fury. The atmosphere of this new world is different, and even though the two worlds share most of the features, their Hold & Win rounds aren’t similar.
Play Pirots 4 in a demo and choose the Frozen Fury world to see that its respins bonus doesn’t offer a familiar mechanic. You meet a feathered Yeti with a multiplier in the middle of the grid. The creature is surrounded by a row of the freezer zone from all four sides.
Any bird that enters the zone empty handed gets frozen and kicked out, which doubles the Yeti multiplier. But if a trail of prizes leads birds to the freezer zone, Yeti applies its multiplier to their winnings. Yeti Snack Time is the same multiplier mechanic but used outside the bonus game.
That’s an exciting addition which opens so many more possibilities. But fans already anticipate the reveal of the third world as another countdown has been introduced.
