N1 Interactive Also Disputes Multimillion Fine Issued by the Netherlands Gambling Authority

Last week the Netherlands Gambling Authority (Ksa) hit several gambling companies with fines. Shortly after that Videoslots Casino, which was hit with a €9.87 mln penalty, called the move unlawful. N1 Interactive took a bit of time to respond. The company has finally commented on the situation disputing an even bigger, €12.64 mln fine.

Just like Videoslots, N1 Interactive argues that the size of the fine is disproportionate. It isn’t the first time one of its brands, Betchan, was caught by the authority accepting players from the Netherlands. The group was first fined in July 2021. Since then the company claims to have taken appropriate measures. Apparently, the steps taken to prevent the repeat breach weren’t successful. This time Ksa slammed the company with a massive fine.

The war against casinos accepting players from the Netherlands is on. Ksa has recently hit five companies with penalties totaling €26 million. And operators were warned by the Chair of the Ksa that they “mean business”.
