Videoslots Casino Believes €10 Million Fine Issued by the Dutch Regulator Is Unlawful

The Dutch gaming regulator, Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) slammed Videoslots Casino with €9,874,000 fine after it was able to get unauthorized access to casino services. The story began in April 2022 when the operator mistakenly made Ksa’s logo visible on its website for a short period of time.

After the incident the regulator launched an investigation trying to find out if Videoslots allows access to the Dutch gamblers. An attempt to sign up as a Dutch player was unsuccessful, but that didn’t stop Ksa. The regulator then posed as a German player and was able to register, deposit and bet 20 cents. That was enough evidence to issue a massive fine for violating the Dutch Gaming Act.

Videoslots has since made sure to fix the issue and believes the fine is unlawful. The argument is that they can’t protect fully against unauthorized access. The casino calls the regulator’s actions absurd and thinks that the size of the fine makes no sense.
