Two Men Will Try to Break World Records by Playing Roulette and Blackjack for 72 Hours Straight

Martin Hummel and Hielke Klingeler will attempt to break the world records for the longest roulette and blackjack marathons. For 72 hours straight from August 14 to August 17, Martin will be playing roulette and Hielke will be playing blackjack. At least, that’s their goal.

If they succeed, the two Dutch men will enter the Guinness World Records. But the honor of holding the world record isn’t the only motivation. The other reason is to raise money for the Food Bank, the charity organization that helps over a million Dutch people that are struggling financially.

Martin already holds the record for the longest online poker marathon. In 2021 he played online poker for 48 consecutive hours. But this time it’s not only 24 hours longer, but the breaks are twice shorter. After every hour they will have only 5 minutes to recover, whereas in 2021 he had 10-minute breaks.
