Features 

Klowns is a scatter pays slot, which means that you can have similar symbols scattered all over the grid and they’ll still bring you payouts. There must be at least 8 similar symbols to win. The slot also features the cascading mechanic, and as winning symbols get removed, players have a chance of landing another win.  

Multipliers 

There are two types of multipliers, and they both can deliver some impressive payouts. Whenever any of the multipliers appears in view, it’s applied to the total win.  

• Adding Multipliers. The value varies from x2 to x500. As the name suggests, when more than one of these symbols land, their values are added together, and then the total is applied to the win.  
• Multiplying Multipliers. The value varies from x2 to x20. The figures don’t seem as impressive. But considering two or more of these multiply each other, this obviously can lead to some epic payouts.  

Needle Boxes 

On a grid full of balloons, needles can be useful as they pop symbols and get players wins for each popped symbol. Below are two types of Needle Boxes.  

• One of them pops all low-value icons and players receive x0.1 for each popped symbol.  
• The other one pops all high-value icons to land players x0.5 for each.  

Klowns Free Spins 

To enter one of two free spin rounds, you need 3 or 4 scatters. Both bonus games offer 10 free spins and one key feature that appears in free spins, which is the Bounty Balloon. It’s that old clown shoe tied to an X shaped balloon. You’ll see it flying outside the grid.  

This special balloon accumulates all multipliers that land during the feature. So, you benefit twice from them as they keep improving the win multiplier. But the difference is that the latter doesn’t reset between rounds. So, it will grow and grow until you pop it.  

Poking this special balloon is the job for a special symbol. Only Epic Needle Box can burst it and get you its multiplier, which is added to the total multiplier. After that, the Bounty Balloon resets to 0 and starts to grow again. In addition, Epic Needle Box removes all regular symbols, which pay x0.1 and x0.5 each.  

• 3 scatters. 10FS are played just like in the base game. But in addition to the Bounty Balloon, you get higher multipliers more often.  
• 4 scatters. 10FS are played similar to the above-mentioned bonus feature. But the difference is that the Bounty Balloon value doesn’t reset after being popped. It continues to grow.  

Bonus Buy 

Klowns offers four feature buy options. As usual, there’s a chance to boost your chances of triggering FS 5 times by paying 3x bet per spin. You can also buy one spin with a guaranteed Klown and Needle Box for x50. 3 and 4 scatters cost x70 and x200, respectively. 

Conclusion 

Hacksaw Gaming is the master of delivering atmospheric slots with engaging gameplays. Klowns is yet another proof of the studio’s great talent. The studio has built a solid gameplay using adding and multiplying multipliers and a set of Needle Boxes as the key features.
