Deadwood R.I.P is a fantastic slot machine that takes the studio’s existing Deadwood slot to the next level. It’s sure to be a fan favorite with its explosive gameplay and incredible but violent artwork. Players, who choose this slot, should have the ‘win big or nothing’ mentality.
A lot of the signature Deadwood features remained in the R.I.P version. But the math is so much different. One of the key changes that’s hard to miss is the 100,000x max win limit, which is times higher than in the original.
Volatility is extreme, and hit frequency is incredibly low at 8.29%. Contributing to this low hit rate is Nolimit City’s new xRIP mechanic that removes small wins.
Features
Reel set is 3-4-4-4-2. The last reel is special and can only have high-value and bonus symbols. But the key feature, just like in the original, is xNudge Wild. It is four-symbol high and will nudge up or down until it’s fully revealed.
This stacked symbol in Deadwood R.I.P has one property that makes it so exciting. Each step it nudges, its initial x1 multiplier grows +1. If more than one Wilds land in a single spin, their multipliers are either added together (in the main game) or multiplied (in the bonus games). There are also other features.
- xSplit Wilds. Two snake symbols at the same time unlock the splitting feature. Reels where snakes land will have its symbols split in half, creating more win ways. They then split themselves into two, so that you end up having 4 Wilds. Splitting can only take place on three middle reels. And when xNudge Wilds are split, then their multipliers are doubled.
- Quick Draw. When a revolver cylinder appears on the first reel, this feature gets triggered to double 3-6 symbol multipliers.
- Shootout. Two sheriff badges should land to activate the Shootout. This time, all low-value symbols on reels 2-4 become wild.
- xRIP. If a total payout for a spin is smaller than a base bet, then you don’t get any wins at all. That’s something you wouldn’t expect from a slot but is what contributes to its extreme volatility level.
Bonus Rounds
Two bonus games can be entered randomly or bought. Players can also activate one of two xBet options to boost the chances of hitting a bonus game. One of them increases a base bet by 150% and guarantees 1 scatter. The other one increases a base bet by 1,400% and guarantees 2 scatters.
There are three types of scatters in Deadwood R.I.P: a snake, a hog and RIP symbols. Three RIP scatters retrigger free spins.
- Redemption Spins. When three snakes land on the screen, players get 5 free spins with a win multiplier that doesn’t reset between rounds and is increased by xNudge Wild multipliers. In fact, multipliers won’t be added, but multiplied to the total.
- Salvation Spins. 3 snakes and 1 snake+hog symbols award 6 free spins. In addition to a progressive win multiplier from Redemption Spins, it gives a special snake+hog symbol on reel 5 for the duration of the bonus. This symbol acts as a Wild and splits symbol on the middle row.
Bonus Buy
The slot offers four bonus buy options. Two of them get you a direct entry into bonus games for x80 and x1,500. While two others cost x364 and x790 for a guaranteed random bonus round. If you pay x364, then you get Salvation Spins, which have a higher win potential, with 20% chance. For a higher price you get them with a 50% chance.
