Basic Information
Slot Review
The release of Eldritch Dungeon proves once again that Print Studios is a force to be reckoned with. The developer seamlessly integrated some video game elements into a slot and did it with a style.
Eldritch Dungeon may look like a typical cluster slot when you make the first couple of spins, but its full beauty is revealed once you play it for a while. Players embark on a dark journey to defeat a mighty beast called The Old One.
As they descend into the world of dangerous creatures, one of three companions will always be by your side. They randomly boost the winning potential in the base mode and help you progress to the latter stages of the bonus round.
Main Game
It’s a cluster slot with an 8×8 grid. Players win when they land clusters of at least 5 matching symbols. There are two types of Wilds and a range of boosters called Spectral Effects that help players land more wins during the main game. They can also collect some Power Relics that are used in the bonus game.
The main goal of the base round is to reach the exit that appears in a random position on the rightmost reel. The warrior, who is the main character, will move towards the exit whenever possible. That happens when a winning combination disappears making way for the warrior. Once this mission is accomplished, punters find themselves in a bonus round.
The warrior can face an evil creature in the base mode. Destroying this creature earns 1 Spectral Effect that is used in the bonus round and 1 Power Relic. There are different Effects, two of them transform symbols, the other two add 4 or 10 Wilds. Whereas, Power Relics help survive and win during the bonus battles.
Companions
There are three companions that players can choose from. But at the beginning, only one of them is available and others are unlocked once you play Eldritch Dungeon for longer. Companions each have the power of clearing a certain pattern on the grid. So, every time they strike, players potentially get more winning combinations and the warrior gets closer to the exit.
Companions are also useful during the bonus battle. They fight side by side with you until you reach the last level, which is the battle against The Old One. This last challenge you’ll have to complete on your own.
Enemies
In every round, four positions hide an enemy creature. When a win lands in one of these positions, an enemy can be revealed and attack the warrior. If the warrior wins the battle, punters get boosters for the main and bonus rounds.
Bonus Game
Eldritch Dungeon has a two-stage bonus round. First comes the Dungeon Battle, when players have to fight different creatures to get to the main evil. Any defeated creature releases a bunch of keys that are used in the next stage to unlock positions.
Players will have a total of 9 battles but are allowed to be defeated a couple of times. When the third defeat is suffered, the first stage of the bonus ends, which leaves gamblers with fewer keys as they get to the second stage called Treasure Hall Spins.
This is a hold & win type of bonus with 3 initial respins. The round extends whenever any symbol lands on the grid. There can be a key for unlocking one extra position or a coin for a prize.
Whenever possible, coins are joined in bigger squares. The bigger they get, the higher is the win multiplier. Those who win the last battle, get the entire grid unlocked and a 4×4 coin right away. Plus, all bonus wins are doubled.
Bonus Buy
Eldritch Dungeon does offer some paid feature activation, but you can’t buy a direct entry into the bonus game. However, those paid options will get you closer to activating a bonus. There are five options, the cheapest is x17.3, and it guarantees 1 Companion Strike. On top of that, players can have 1-4 defeated enemies if they pay more, up to x218.
Conclusion
Print Studios has become a major creative powerhouse in the world of online slots. Eldritch Dungeon proves that this relative newcomer is incredibly talented and multidimensional. The slot offers a unique experience by seamlessly integrating some features from video games into a fantastic slot environment.
