Kick Streaming Platform Allows Its Users to Disable Gambling Content
Up-and-coming streaming platform, Kick, has recently introduced filters allowing users to block gambling streams. Accessible in the “Settings” menu, there are two boxes offering users to hide pools, hot tubs & bikinis and/or slots & casino content. Those who choose to tick those boxes won’t have the corresponding content in their feed.
Kick CEO, Eddie Craven, broke the news in his Twitter post on June 30. This option is designed to ‘remove unnecessary exposure to gambling related content’ and is just one of multiple updates the platform rolled out. In addition, Kick introduced measures to address common issues such as view count manipulation and “Tabbing”.
We’re rolling out some extra view count protection on @KickStreaming.
This should help combat view count manipulation. It will also help solve some issues surrounding follow/chat bots.
