Stake is known for its aggressive marketing, and one of the advertising campaigns got them shut down in the UK. The ad went viral and featured an adult movie star.
The UK gambling regulator met with the company that operates the UK Stake site. And the company assured that the registration of new GB accounts will be stopped immediately.
By March 11, 2025, the UK site will be closed. The regulator expects an orderly closure. Stake has already warned its British players of the closure and advised them to withdraw funds before March 10.
