LOG IN 
On February 29, the Dutch Gaming Authority, KSA, issued Gammix Limited a €19,679,000 fine for providing their services to players in the Netherlands without a license. This is the second time the company was fined by the regulator. In June 2022, it was fined €4.4 million for the same reasons. And the regulator says that no action has been taken to resolve the issue since then.
KSA Decision
KSA states that casino sites that belong to Gammix Limited did not prevent players with Dutch IP addresses from accessing the sites. Their employee was able to create an account and deposit money. During the registration, the Netherlands country code ‘+31’ was among available. Plus, Netherlands wasn’t listed as a restricted territory in the casino T&Cs.
Gammix Response
Gammix Director, Phil Pearson, told NEXT.io that ‘the fine is an absolute joke’ and that they will appeal it. The company argues that the account was created from Luxembourg and that the regulator used falsified data.
The company has now officially lodged an objection and argues that they block the country IP addresses and do not target Dutch players. But at the same time claims that the €19,679,000 turnover from Dutch players estimated by KSA is unrealistic and incorrect.
